In July, we will be going by Little Bighorn National Battle Field. For me, it's a must stop. My question is this. What does one do with their travel trailer while touring the battle field site? ...

We were there last summer with our 25' trailer. Get there early, there are spots for about a dozen trailers. We got one while we toured the visitors center and we towed through the park. There were many people towing through the Battlefield, including large 5th wheels. There aren't spots to stop along the way, except for a loop at the end that we fit for just a 10 minute stop. Traffic was lite for us, so we were able to "pause" throughout when needed.
I highly recommend staying at 7th Calvary while there. Maybe stay 2 nights so your rig can stay at the campground?
It's actually called 7th Ranch RV Park, south of the town of Garryowen and east of I-90 (exit the freeway at Garryowen, then go back south on the frontage road to the Reno Creek Road) The RV park is easy to find on Google Maps. Here is the link to their website: 7th Ranch
