Little Farm on the River

Has anyone camped here? Is there anything to do in the area besides going to the casino? We are looking for someplace close to home for just a two night stay, but want to do more than sit around. We like to keep busy site seeing, etc.

I live on a little farm by the river. It's not much of a river tho, more of a creek. We don't have a casino however we have been known to play extended games of Sorry when the grandkids come over. No money ever exchanges hands tho. I could probably find some of the neighbors to stop by if you want to run a few hands of poker.
If you like to keep busy I can probably find something for you to do. I have 2 acres that need mowing, a barn needs cleaned out, an upstairs room I'm remodeling, and a dead tree that I need cut down and removed. You may want to plan for more than a couple of days tho. I figure a couple of weeks at least for you to get all that done. When you get that done I'll probably have something else on my list for you to do.

  • When we stayed there 2 years ago we went to the Cincinnati zoo, a Red and Cardinals game and went to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. You can also go to downtown Rising Sun and sit by the river and find great places to eat.
