Dan, this is one huge issue for us boondockers. You're lucky as you and a few others on this sub-forum have high mobility in your favor as Phil has pointed out.
For those of us that are in big rig territory this should be of way more of concern. This is an area that I would really like to get involved in and have taken the time to 'build' it into my overall plan.
If something not done about it (the trashing) today's social media will for sure bring more political pressure to the problem and as you have so keenly pointed out, that 'political pressure' will manifest itself in banning dispersed camping and nobody wants that.
We all should look for more ways to get involved in a constructive manner....... :)
