If you like the attractions of Myrtle Beach then maybe its time to come back to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area again. A lot has changed in 10 years here. A very nice and new campground called Anchor Down (look them up online)sounds like something you would enjoy, big sites with level concrete pads and stacked stone fire places, beautiful views overlooking Douglas lake and they just put in a nice dog park and its located outside of all the hubbub of town but close enough to drive to in 15 minutes.
Lots of dinner shows to see and other things to do. The Titanic museum is worth while, a drive over to Cherokee gets you a Harrah's casino, there is always a visit to downtown Knoxville to pass a day, so much to see and do or just enjoy a great campground and do nothing.
