I stayed at the embassy suites recently not far from Lax great place and great for families Had their breakfast they serve dialy I recall seeing an rv park but cant remember there name

If you want to stay somewhere nice, that's a bit outside the city, try East Shore RV Park. About a 45 minute drive to and from Beverly Hills. Here, you'll be in a woodland setting, which is very nice.

Or, there is always a nice place like Long Beach, about 45 minutes from Beverly Hills as well, but again, a very nice setting!

I can tell you that we stayed at San Dimas at the East Shore RV Park. We have one of the best RV sites we have ever had. Of course, you will have to drive almost anywhere you go in the Los Angeles area, but if you want to take the RV and can get in Loop A I would highly recommend East Shore.

BTW,our friends live in Glendale, but we found the drive to be worth it to stay in the kind of site we had. Being out East/South of the city meant that we towed the RV in and out without taking it "deeper" into the city. We did all the other driving in our tow vehicle.

If you had done a search this subject has been discussed many times, not trying to be snitty. There's not much in the LA area, the closest in are Golden Shores in Long Beach, Dockweiler Beach RV (not the state park) and there's one in Northridge between the 118 and the 101, Walnut RV. There are others further out like Malibu RV Park (pricey), KOA in Pomona and one in Valencia, right off I 5. Check www.rvparkreviews.com. It might be easier just to fly and rent a car.

How much time are you wanting to spend driving??

Nothing in/close to Beverly Hills so count on hours of drive time to/from treatment center.

Personally, IF I had to be in Beverly Hills area for medical treatment I would get a hotel room close to treatment center as that would be my priority not a nice RV site that put me hours away (mileage in LA doesn't mean squat...it's all about the drive time)

Best wishes and prayers for your son. We stayed in our old travel trailer in a nearby cg when herself was receiving chemo for cancer. It would have been even better had we had the motorhome we do now.

When she's not feeling well she prefers to be in familiar surroundings and the access to our TT fridge with things that helped her ease the nausea was hugely helpful.

Best to you all. I've posted before that Los Angeles is not a real RV friendly city. Near Beverly Hills you have Malibu RV on Pacific Coast Highway. Traffic for anyone not accustomed to huge city traffic is horrific. To the east two nice parks are Travel Village RV in Valencia and Castaic Lake RV. Both are near Magic Mountain, both are nice however it will be at least a 45 minute drive to Beverly hills, and in rush hour(s) it could take 2 hours of really heavy traffic. I used to joke that I could read the newspaper of while driving...the paper was in the car next to me being read by that driver!! There are many areas surrounding Beverly Hills, such as Westwood, West LA, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, Santa Monica, etc. The whole are is really just one huge metropolis. Ask the clinic if they contract with appropriate housing. You can also call UCLA Medical Center and ask about available family housing. There are countless hotels in the area, many will offer special prices for medical stays (I know we were offered such a courtesy when staying at UC Davis in Northern California). I don't live on that side of the hill but I still have a few contacts who have to work or live in that area. If you get a recommendation and want the location checked out feel free to PM me.

Have you contacted the hospital to see if they have accommodations for your rig..?? Many do.....Dennis
