Someone stated "would you rather they up the camp fee"? Yes we would. That would be the honest way to handle lack of funds.
We've rarely make reservations in our 16 years of full-timing and have never run across states that charge a reservation fee when we didn't make a reservation. This would be a big reason for not going to Louisiana for us.
However, we have used the Louisiana state parks in the past and have not been charged this fee. We like Louisiana! Is this something new?
