Yep, another way to subsidize the politicians and bureaucrats, so they can award lucrative contracts to political "friends". After all, the campers won't mind, will they! We protest by not dealing with places who do that. Some of the prices charged are also just plane stupid for what is furnished. If they have something I absolutely feel I have to see, I camp elsewhere and pay the day use fee... once!
Louisiana is a very camper unfriendly state anyway, with numerous small town rules about staying overnight in WalMart and similar places, so I just DO NOT stay anywhere in the state. You can always vote with your feet and money and I do.
