Made it to the Florida Keys

Arrived at our desitnation on Thurs. Dec. 31st after a very long trip south. Traffic was horrible but we just took it slow and easy. The problem is that other drivers don't relize that a MH towing a car can't stop on a dime! Loving our site and all the nice people we have met already. Weather has been great until today, cool and sprinkles off and on. It is still much better than back home where it is in the 30's. I'll take this warm weather over that.

    I had so many problems on my last trip I have installed a Dash Cam. I make it a point to maintain a safe distance, but many drivers seem to think its OK to move in and hit their brakes.

    Ditto RV's don't stop on a dime and they HAVE to get in front of you because no one wants to be behind you:B

    The comical/pathetic part is when there is a merge and you are already on the highway and people just don't bother to look to see what they are merging with! WE have no where to go so they have to scurry like ants to either slow down or floor it. We used to try and get out of there way but no more after some near misses.

    It dipped down to 9 degrees at the house last nite. Showing 72 degrees in the keys! We got spoiled by this nice weather the last few weeks, then BAM! Winters here! It's really hampering my last minute puttering around outside getting the rig ready for the 1,300 mile ride this weekend.

    We are headed to Geiger Key for February, and then Grassy Key in March - due to the moderate weather we have been having, today was the first day that I wish we were already there ....

    Traveling during the holidays is terrible! Where are you located in the Keys? We will be at Jolley Rogers in March.
