Maine in October
We are heading to New England for October. We're hoping to sneak up on the Northern Lights. Are there any parks open that time of year? Hoping to be near the NB border.

We will be out next weekend for several days in the Western Maine mountains. Destination is Cupsuptic Campground, near Oquossoc Village in Rangeley, Maine. Scenic vistas include the Height of the land, down through Strong & into Farmington, then back up the Carabasset Valley past Sugarloaf & into Eustis, then back across int Rangeley. Will be up pre sunrise every day for moose runs over towards New Hampshire & back.
For real good backcountry vistas, take the Tim Pond Road out of Eustis to points west and back down to Route 16 m
