Major disaster in Cali
Looks like Rvers Cutting that brush back and thinning the woods would sure make a lot of sense. And save lives and property along with untold numbers of wildlife killed in these blazes.

In reading comments from a CA resident this morning, it seems that it is local homeowners that do not want the burns to clear underlying brush. They are afraid it won't be controlled, so vote it down.
