Mark Twain State Park

Question

Had a great long weekend at Mark Twain State Parks and Campground. Never been there before and had a wonderful time. What I was most surprised with was all the tent camping there was. I'm guessing close to 1/2 the sites had tents on them and the other half that had campers on them half of them had tents with them.

MTSP is a nice campground but we tend to prefer the Indian Creek CG on the north side of the lake.

It is a LOT longer to get to off if the highway but the sites tend to be further apart and they do offer some full hook up sites. Having the "Old Fart" card to get half price doesn't hurt either.

Did you hear any Whippoorwills? The last time we were there was in the late 90's. There were many back then. I was wondering if they are still there. That is a nice campground. I like their shower house set up. The showers are separate from the restrooms and private rooms.
