Just guessing but maybe someone in DRC thought the ReserveAmerica system was preventing this... These are very popular destinations that have lots of empty sites, as pointed out that are not available due to the way some people reserve them....
An example I heard about recently... Husband and Wife go on and reserve same site for 2 14 day periods, using separate accounts... they get the site for the whole month. I am guessing this will be a problem for them this year if they try to do it.
We only have Memorial Day weekend at Salisbury so doesn't really impact us, but thought I would share the info.
