Mayberry Campground
Will be headed to Mayberry Campground in Mount Airy Memorial Day weekend. Any one else going to be there?

We stayed at Mayberry Campground last fall, on the way back from Disney World. It was a very nice place. All the power, water, and sewer hookups were new. It seems like the owners have been putting some money into the place. The terrain is hilly, but the sights were level. Lots of pull throughs were available.
If you get a chance, go to the Andy Griffith museum in Mt. Airy's Historic District. If you are there before 2pm, Definitely go to "Snappy Lunch" and try their Famous Pork Chop Sandwich (for $4.05!). It is really quite good.

Yep, we are only an hour from Mount Airy, have been there several times. Although never to the Andy Griffith museum.
