- jaycocamprsExplorerMcKinney Campground is a little hilly, lots of lakefront campsites are up above the water. 35-53 are some of the better boat sites. 105-116 are close to the boat ramp & dock. But sit a bit above the water(115 is the 1 low site). 121-131 are not high up, but the shore is rocky in places.
Nice park, we go several times every summer. But we don't fish or boat. Victoria Campground, Clark Creek North Campground or Sweetwater Campground sit lower and the lake front sites are IMHO more boat friendly - TBammerExplorerYeah, we are set on Allatoona for a few reasons, not the least of which is my friend keeps his boat there. But it sounds like the COE campgrounds are all pretty nice.
- TxTwoSomeExplorerHave not been to the COE on Alatoona but we just got back from a trip to Georgia and stayed at Duckett Mill COE on lake Sydney Lanier just east of Atlanta close to Gainesville.
Wish we could have stayed for a week longer was a beautiful campground and spot we had was site 82 right on the water.
If you might be interested in Duckett Mill I can send you a few pictures if that would help you unless you are dead set on Alatoona.
Just a thought. - Bears_DenExplorerGo to RVParkReviews and scroll down to Georgia than scroll down to Cartersville and there will be a few reviews.
