Memphis

You could almost walk from this RV park to Beale St. I would take a cab for safety sake. I drive by this park quite often but have never stopped there. It is right off I-40 near the Mississippi River Bridge. I think it would be alright for one night.

I second this. We stayed there last March and took the tour bus to Beale St.

We are planning a trip for the middle of October and the wife is from Cordova, Tn (just east of Memphis, Germantown)
and she's too concerned to stay at any of those three...

The nearest RV park to downtown Memphis, Tennessee and Beale Street, is directly across the Mississippi River in West Memphis, Arkansas. Just south of the old Mississippi River bridge.

How about this one in West Memphis: Tom Sawyer

Just be aware that West Memphis and even the Graceland area is NOT a place to be walking or IMHO even driving thru.

Tom Sawyer Park in West Memphis, Ark. is the way to go. Nice park, free laundry facilities, and plenty of barges and tugs to watch coming and going on the river.

A 4th vote for Tom Sawyer, although I don't know about taxi service since the campground is in Arkansas. Might be some kind of surcharge???

We have stayed at Tom Sawyer before, nice place. Like someone side you need a body guard. The Mississippi River RV Pk looks like it will fit the bill. We were on Beal St one time during the day. This time we want to enjoy the night life and not have to drive after a few drinks
