Looking at going to somewhere in Michigan and was looking for some suggestions on a campground close to the lake ?

- We live at Grand Haven on Lake Michigan shoreline and there's 7 campgrounds on the water's edge (shorelines) here and another 5 within no more than 10 miles from the shorelines here alone. Yes, they are very busy all summer with campers and we could easily use/fill another 6 more campgrounds right here alone.
- OP? Yes, which lake as 4 of the 5 Great Lakes are on Michigan's over 3200 miles of Great Lake's shoreline and yes, there's gobs of campgrounds on the Great Lakes shoreline in Michigan. Not enough to choose from? Then, there's over 11,000 inland lakes also and so many of them also have campgrounds on their shoreline. That's as close to a lake as you can get for a campground! Camping and campgrounds on the shoreline of lakes is a way of life in Michigan as nowhere in the entire State of Michigan can you be more than 6 miles from the water.
