Michigan's Lake Michigan Coast parks

To answer some of your questions: we have an E series Ford Econoline van with a Sportsmobile conversion with minimal conveniences, other than the micro wave (DW insisted on that one). We consider ourselves campers rather than RVer's. And by that I mean we spend minimal time inside the van, basically only to sleep. We do most everything else outside. Enjoy cooking outside, be it over the open fire, a dutch oven or electric griddle. Not fond of RV parks that look like an RV dealers lot. No disrespect, just not our thing. We enjoy being outside and having a little privacy.
Our interests range from enjoying the scenery, beach walks, waterfalls and nature in general. Unique shops, especially of the food variety as well as history related themes.
