A lot of folks don't realize that YNP is at high altitude 8000 ft. And it's also further north than the great circle route parks. So it is somewhat cooler in general, this year in June it had a max of 78 deg F and a min of 48. Picking a year at random, 2000, it was almost exactly the same. However it can and will snow any time it feels like it. We have been snowed on twice on the 4th of July there, years ago. But we aren't up there most years. Summer snow doesn't usually last long tho.
