Midwest race track camping

We jsut moved up north from Louisiana and as motorsports fans we are planning what races we want to attend next year. Having never been to any of the tracks in the Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana area we are woundering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences at places like Road America or Indy. For instance we have been going to Daytona for the last couple years and have found that for us the camping outside turn 1 suits us better as the infield gets pretty roudy at night.

Put Eldora on your bucket list!

One of the all time greats! I can remember camping next to the likes of Parnelli Jones and other greats and not having enough sense to realize just how famous some of these people would be.
  • I'm in Sebring, FL now for the 12 Hours of Sebring, another great ALMS race. This tracks a long way from WI though! Cheaper to fly down and rent an RV than spend the time and fuel on driving down.
  • I know this is an older thread, but I camp at RA every year and have been doing so for nearly a decade; I am a huge ALMS fan. It is a great track to camp at as there is plenty of room and all different types of people who come. My group has made tons of new friends over the years and I strongly suggest that you check it out.
