Millenicom and Canadian credit cards

I know I can't use a Canadian based credit card to sign up for AT&T, but does anybody know if millenicom accepts them?

If I were you I would personally call them to get the correct answer.

Did that, got the confidence inspiring "I don't see why not". ;)

I've learned not to trust the answers of call centres if they have to go off script to give it.

  • I am going to do it the other way around. I bought a Verizon MiFi4620LE that I am going to use on Telus next summer on the boat. According to my friend, you go to the Telus Kiosk in Whiterock and give them your credit card and an address in Canada, signing up for online billing. They give you their Sim card and you make a couple configuration changes. Then you can turn it on or off via your online access to the account on a month by month bases.

Should work similar going the other direction.

  • Not interested in Canadian coverage, interested in buying the service. I can't buy time on an AT&T SIM card for via my iPad without a US credit card and I was curious if these guys were the same.

  • Signed up for my Verizon phone and later Verizon MI-FI with my Canadian Visa. Use my Cdn Visa for monthly payments.........
  • I used my Canadian Amex card ..... no problem. I did however use my US Zip .... not my postal code. Amex doesn't care, Visa does. You might have to expirement a bit.

If you do it over the phone they take them. I do it all the time to get more credit on my Go Phone account.

"Millenicom. No contract, uses Verizon cells, $70 for 20GB. Offers either USB or MIFI. Based in Oregon - no tax on the bill. No coverage in Canada. "
