I hate the kind of answer I'm gonna give - it depends.
Depends on are you there to see wildlife? or see to the geysers? or see the canyon of the Yellowstone, or .. whatever.. if you're trying to see it all it ain't gonna really happen.
You'll get what I call "Smithsonian blur" too much too quick - its possible to be bored in Yellowstone, not because of the park but becauseour ability to absorb is limited.
So my answer - if its the once in a lifetime trip do all you can, make lots of pics to help you remember (and it can be a blur).. and dream of coming back someday.
That's what we did... 5 trips ago..see you in Yellowstone in 2014.
