Minnesota Travel

Need some suggestions on rv parks in Minnesota for a 39ft fifth wheel. Entering state via I-35. Hope to stay in lower SE region, then St. Paul area and finally Duluth area. Would like to find parks with level concrete pads, wifi, & full hookup near these locations. Not interested in park activities as we will be traveling daily by auto. But scenery would be a plus. We are from Texas :)

Plan to visit Amish country, small town antiquing, eateries, Mall of America and Twins baseball game. Interested in scenic areas to drive so hope to plant rv in minimal number of parks and drive within 100 miles of it for interests.

Any suggestions?
  • I saw a program last night that promoted Lake Pepin in Minnesota. It is a very popular area apparently and is supposed to have one of the most beautiful driving tours in the country. I'm going to check on it myself. Oh, and Lake Pepin is supposed to have it's own monster similar to Nessie in Scotland. Very popular area.

That KOA is a nice campground. We stayed there last summer.. If you like train whistles every two hours.
  • No FL or AZ style RV parks in MN that I know of. But the closest thing to what you describe would be a casino RV park. Treasure Island Casino is in the SE in the Red Wing area and has a marina on the Mississippi. Mystic Lake Casino is near the Twin Cities at Prior Lake,MN. Just an idea.
