We stayed at Pack Creek Campground after being ousted from Fed. campgrounds. It's an older one, cheaper, but the NEW owners are working their butts off to make it nice. The reports on it are the results of uncaring owners.....give the new ones a chance. :)It's more central to Moab, etc.
Arches RV park is right at the entrance practically to Canyonlands and Arches Ntl Park....it's really not out of the way.
BTW - be sure to check out the rock shop on the north end of town......you'll see stuff there you don't normally see.....like dinosaur bones and a 40 foot petrified tree. :)
