Very beginning stages of planning a trip to Moab a year from now, September, 2017. Temps/heat in September? DW does not do heat. Or should we get there in early October? Campground recommendations...

Over the past 10 years, I have visited the Moab area 5 times in September-October. In September you will have days in the 90s. On top of that the blazing sun will peal paint. If you can alter your schedule, October weather will be much better...downright perfect in fact.
