Very beginning stages of planning a trip to Moab a year from now, September, 2017. Temps/heat in September? DW does not do heat. Or should we get there in early October? Campground recommendations...

Next year, avoid the week of October 14-22 as that is the week of the UEA convention. The early part of the week isn't bad, but the convention is that Thursday and Friday and since every school is out those two days, many families take the entire week off for vacation. Very busy time in town, on the roads and trails, and in the parks.
