Moab,Utah CG for 40' rv and trailer

Suggest you call the various RV parks in the area and ask them.
I think that would be the best way.

Archview

Several pull through sites all toward the back of the park looking toward Arches. Fuel on site. Trails out back connect to Willow Springs and points north/NE.

Spanish Trails has a couple of long sites.

We enjoyed our stay at Spanish Trail RV Park. We rented a side by side and had it, our car, and 44' coach in a pull thru. we were in the back row and if I remember there was lots of room behind pull thru's for additional length rigs. We also looooved Moab and the ATVing!

From Archview Campground, you can also skirt the highway, back towards Moab and cross over about 1 mile from Archview Campground. Once safely over the Hwy, you can access Gemini Bridges, Metal Masher and some other trails.

However, to get to a lot of the other trails, you will need to trailer to those staging areas.

MOAB OFFROAD TRAILS

Up Kane Creek Road, there is a dry camping spot, Kane Springs Campground, that has a very large open area for paid boondocking. Just beyond that camping area is a free to park day staging area that will fit your RV/trailer combo, pretty easy to spot both of these areas. I would highly suggest getting to all the staging areas early to be able to park your rig.

I had previously done a Google Earth view of several parks in Moab and didn't see anything that looked like it would accommodate my set-up and some of the reviews were iffy too, so I appreciate all the suggestions and recommendations.

I hadn't looked at Spanish Trail previously, but it looks like some of the sites there are more than long enough. Thanks for that suggestion and being able to ride from the park.

We stayed at Archview last year has plenty of room for your rig and trailer, there are trails right from the campground and a Gas Station right at the entrance

What do you think about the switch back on Kane Creek Rd? I kept wondering how people got back to the last camping area so I stopped and talked to a guy with a big TH. He said swing wide and pay attention. :)

Hmm, that's a good question.

I've always staged at the area just past Kane Springs Campground. I've only ever driven my ATV past that point and not even driven my truck up into that area but would have not problem driving my truck up there, will be doing so come July. I'm not certain I would want to tow my 30' TT and 1-ton CC LB combo past the Kane Springs Campground. There certainly are nice campgrounds up there but more frequented by tenters or small trailers/pop-ups.

Sure is an awesome area back there and am missing it right about now. Been out there the last two springs and didn't make it this year. Would love to go run Kane Creek right now!

Two years ago we stayed at Portal RV resort. We are about 65' with the toad and had no issues. They have 2 sides to the park... one is the "regular" side and the other is the resort side... it has a pool and other amenities- we stayed on the resort side. Can't answer the question about trail access.. give them a call. We rented a t-rex side by side in town and hit the trails from town ( the t-rex's are licensed there for road use to get to the trails) and had a blast
