Both areas are excellent. You have a fair chance of seeing snow in Montana in early June. According to the park website Going to the Sun road won't be open before June 20th at the earliest.
There are a whole cluster of parks in SW Utah: Bryce, Zion, Capital Reef, Canyonlands and Arches plus another 5 or 6 smaller parks. So there is plenty to do and see. At higher altitudes snow again could be a factor but not as much as northern Montana.
