Utah's high desert parks, Canyonlands, Arches, Capitol Reef and Zion, can be mighty toasty in June, typically the warmest month of the year in the Four Corners area. That said, they are always spectacular and popular that time of year. Since our home base is within an easy day's drive from each of those, we choose to visit in the early spring and late fall when day temps are often perfect for hiking. ... So, I guess I'd lean toward Montana.
