On the Ausable Chasm campground (or any nearby) my question relates to how nice, peaceful, activity filled, etc. it is. The Chasm seems very interesting. We will just have a half day available for activities, but it will be a weekday most likely, so we would like maximize our planning. I need to look at their hours again online. We are looking for campgrounds that are just a little more natural (i.e. leaning more towards tress or woods more than just a grassed line-'em-up RV parking lot). But we understand the conveniently located RV grassed lots type of parks can be helpful when located well. And or the family, any info on bathroom/shower ratings would help. I'm still doing research with my references, but I'm interested in any insight.
