We are thinking about hitting the Dells June 24...we have looked at Mt. Olympus...is it a cool place? What is the campground like? Is it parking lot? Is the rv park close to the attractions? It sounds like a lot is included.Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We have 3 teenage boys and we want to be active!Thanks!

It is basically an old motel/hotel that they turned into a campground. they used the parking lot for the sites. so it is literally a parking lot! LOL. lot`s of other better choices in the area. the Jellystone is nice. we stayed at Holiday Shores 2 years ago and liked it. this year we are staying at Stand Rock campground which is supposed to be very nice. if you want to be on the strip, Bonanza is a good choice. I would personally like to be off the strip at night just for the quietness. Look up WACO (Wisconsin campgrounds) and look up the dells/lake delton area and you`ll find what you want.

I was considering making one of our first trips down to stay at Mt. Olympus also since we have been there and stayed at the hotel before and they do have a fabulous package deal for campers BUT the reviews are bad.We won't be getting our tow package until next spring and I didn't want to have to drive a second car so I guess we'll just be practicing for our California 2015 trip at CGs closer to home this summer.

We are staying at Holiday Shores June 26th - July 3rd. Never been there but it sounds real nice. I hope it is as nice as it sounds.

Not sure what section you are staying in, but there is no shade in the pull throughs. our A/C struggled over the 4th just to keep the trailer at 80 degrees on a 100 degree day!

We drove by it and it looked like a cramped parking lot to park your rig at. Check out Stand Rock, the only down side is the train. We were up front on sites, so easier to hear them.
