Mt Pisgah Campground Closed to tents
So far, it is just for a week or so. Maybe the park staff can discourage the bear and get it to leave. Hate to see it destroyed.

- The lack of bear population management..i.e. hunting…is the problem. Land can carry only so many. Management by cuteness doesn’t work.
- Interesting, wouldn't take much for one to destroy a hard sided RV either.
- Tents and Soft-sided Campers Temporarily Prohibited at Mount Pisgah Campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway Due to Bear Activity. Blue Ridge Parkway officials announced that beginning today through June 24, 2021, tents and soft-sided campers are temporarily prohibited at Mount Pisgah Campground.

It's not a bear problem, it's a people problem. We've already decimated the bear population, no need to kill more.
