- Joyce_in_NYExplorerWe wintered in Branson last year - from mid Sept. through the end of March. Everyone will have different favorites, so here are mine:
Silver Dollar City - the fall craft festival should be going on
New Jersey Knights (Four Seasons tribute)
Six
the Haygoods
Tom Mullica's tribute to Red Skeleton -- if he's in town (this was a fabulous show)
Toy Museum
There is a Beatles Tribute playing some time in October that is supposed to be excellent.
Restaurants
Lambert's Restaurant - just north of Branson in Ozark
We frequently went to Golden Corral -- they have a phenomenal variety at the one in Branson.
A local favorite is Danna's Barbecue -- http://dannasbbq.com
My favorite Branson website is this one:
http://www.bransonshows.com/bransonShows.cfm
Some shows are only offered on certain days or at certain times. The week my sister came to visit, I made a chart with the shows and times playing so we could maximize our time. We saw 10 shows that week, played mini golf, ran down to the Hillbilly Glass Shack (a glassblower a bit south of Branson), visited the Bass Pro store in Springfield (the original location), and ate out every night.
There is a lot to do in Branson -- for all ages and tastes. I'm sure you'll have a great time! - 1971duster340ExplorerLambert's Restaurant...between Branson and Springfield.

We will be going to Branson the first week of Oct. What are the must see shows and other things to see and do. Will be there for 5 days. Never been there before.
We spent almost a month there last October and did quite a few shows and six that we really enjoyed in order of preference were: 1 - Oak Ridge Boys (limited engagement), 2- Six, 3- Titantic Museum, 4- Toy Museum, 5- Shoji Tabuchi, 6- Dinner with Yakov
The following were O.K. but nothing memorable ...
Dixie Stampede
Showboat Branson Belle Dinner Cruise
Acrobats of China
Sight and Sounds "Joseph" show
The Haygoods
Bill Cosby (special event)
River Queen Cruise
Branson Scenic Railway
Wax Museum
Ducks
Sheppard of the Hills "Zip" line
Also make sure you take the time to browse the tacky offerings at Dicks Old Time 5 & 10 ... you're guaranteed to find something you never knew you needed. Some of the antique shops around Dicks are worth stolling thru also.
Larry - kalynzooExplorerBassPro Shop and museum in Springfield. Also Fantastic Caverns in Springfield...a subterranean tour in jeeps with very little to no walking.
- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIThere is an excellent Branson web site...Branson message boards, I think thats the name. Lots of reviews on everything Branson.
