If your child is interested in forts, how about the pioneer era kind? Add these to your list: Fort Sisseton State Park in NE SD, Fort Abraham Lincoln SP and the On A Slant Village near Bismarck ND, Fort Robinson SP in western Nebraska. All have a lot to see and interesting, fun family tours.
