Check out the Finger Lakes region of NY. Lots of wineries and cool small towns, good golfing, swimming, marinas where you could rent a pontoon boat, etc. We like Keuka lake SP as a base camp; Watkins Glen SP is very nice but it gets booked up pretty fast.
Adirondacks are nice as well.
