we have been to OLCG several times and it started filling up Tuesday evening right up to T-day it fills up quickly then. Pull in on the Sunday or Saturday before and you can see the beach from the 4000 section by Wednesday night not happening. Most years this is the weekend that Clemson plays USC and it is a big thing down there. Lots of tailgating and outdoor TV's and plenty of free spirits.
It is an enjoyable week for us.
Weather has been touched. We have camped this week and seen all 4 seasons in the 9 day period. Once it rained alto, then cleared up for t-day and then started again. we have seen below freezing temps and I have had to wear shorts before. JUST depends?? you have to plan for any type of weather and temps. BUT still the best week of vacation every year. This year when we go will be our 13 year of going, we missed one year due to a dear friends father passing right before the trip so we canceled.so we would have had 14 years straight. W
JMHO but we love it. NOW its just mama and me and the kids have school or work so they don't come down until Wednesday.
