Sand at the beach. horror of horrors. But that is what brooms are for. 2 min it's out.
As I say. Sand sites are MUCH cooler than concrete. Pavement holds heat, and keeps the site hot all night, Also pavement burns your feet, Sandy grass does not. And in truth the kids can't make sand forts on the concrete.
