We live half way between the two parks and enjoy both. I really like being able to ride our bikes up to Myrtle Beach for the restaurants or over to the Market Commons area and read all the signs in history of the old base that we normally drive by. War Bird Park has a sculpture by one of my neighbors.
I don't like MBSP in the fall when many folks are burning outside fires. The heavy tree canopy holds in all of the smoke.
We've ridden our bikes through the area that is now being developed for camping, I didn't realize it used to be a camping area. We were trying to do a 3 or 4 night stay at either one of the parks as a shake down prior to our strip to Florida next month, we couldn't get a full service at Huntington and very limited full service lots available at MB.
