We go to Skidaway Island SP in GA near Savannah now; that or Ft. McAllister. Myrtle Beach has become too, too touristy for lack of a better word.
One thing about more wooded campsites: they have more biting insects like chiggers, ticks, no-see-ums and mosquitoes. Keep your bug spray on in warm weather.
