We like MBSP a lot and appreciate the convenience of a Food Lion across Rt. 17, an easy bike ride to get your groceries.
The planes are noisy to be sure, but we didn't experience any airport noise in the evening.
Some of the sites at HBSP are actually too "open" for us as we prefer the somewhat wooded sites at MBSP.
The seafood in Murrell's Inlet near HBSP is excellent, and we had an excellent meal at "Drunken Jack's". And of course Brookgreen Gardens across the highway from HBSP is definitely worth a day, and the "castle" at HBSP is certainly worth a tour.
Food Lion at MBTP has Diesel and Gas. We use that route instead of the more crowded intersection at Wal-Mart and the Outlet Stores. I leave this week for MBTP, its a favorite of ours. I have never stayed in South Myrtle, I might check that out this year, and look at the State Park.
