Hi cubmaster,
I felt compelled to comment based on your " handle". I'm the mother of three eagle scouts, who love to tell me that What I do in my 5th wheel is not camping!! Whatever!!
Anyway, the only place we have camped at Myrtle Beach is the State Park. As you could see from the pics, I say its like camping at the mountains ( with the trees) and the beach at the same time. The beach is just beautiful and you really feel removed from the craziness of the Grand Strand.
The mini golf and restaurants are convenient and honestly it is close to the airport, but as someone else said - never created an issue for us.
I have never heard a bad comment about Myrtle Beach Travel Park for what its worth. Use your judgement.
We just went to OBX for first time this year. I would say a little too sleepy for children the age of yours. Vacation should be fun for them too!
