This will be our fifth trip to MB. Staying at MB Travel Park in 2 weeks. Looking for some different things to do. Trying to stay away from all the retail stuff (Broadway etc.)Also looking for some great local seafood and or BBQ options. Don't mind driving a bit for something if it is good. Planning a day trip to Charleston as well.Thanks in advance :)

On your way back from Charleston drop into Murrels Inlet. Many good seafood restaurants. While you're at it check out Huntington Beach State Park you might choose to stay there next time. Brookgreen Gardens is an afternoon well spent which is just across the street.

Me loves Hunting Beach...We end up at Lakewood in the SEP/OCT time frame each year for a mini-family reunion. One of my sister's has a place at Lakewood. Usually coincides with Bikers week haha... Lakewood is nice but sometime yearn for the more backwoods environment. Hunting Beach serves us well in that regard... Tried the Myrtle Beach State Park on the beach which was nice as well but sure was loud at times with the airplanes going overhead every five minutes landing and taking off from the local airport.Hard not to find a good eating place along the US17 corridor...Roy Ken

We like going to Georgetown for a day to look around the harbor/boardwalk area and have lunch at an outdoor patio. It is south of M.B. In the Fall they have a wooden boat festival which is very interesting and different. You can watch teams construct a boat in a limited amount of time and then they have to row it across the harbor and back - good fun!
