We did that last year and really enjoyed it. We went on two Pilgrimage tours of homes not normally open to the Public (6 homes). I would recommend that you don't ignore visiting some of the homes that are open year round as well as some of them are stunning. I recommend Longwood, Stanton Hall, Magnolia Hall, Rosalie and Monmouth. I would recommend lunch and lemon meringue pie at Mammy's Cupboard.
Also, recommend Riverview Rv Park as that is were we stayed and it was wonderful. Pay attention to the directions to the park from the park. There is a new driveway from LA 131 that crosses the levee and takes you directly into the park. Our GPS did not show that road and had us pulling off LA 131 and crossing the levee before that which took us thru a neighborhood that it would have been better to avoid pulling our 5th wheel.
