Natchitoches, La.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice place to stay in Nachitoches during the Festival of Lights....I have looked for some reviews but there aren't many for the Nachitoches area. Thanks for any info.
  • Sorry for bumpng an old thread, but was wondering how the lights were.

Some of the churches rent out their parking areas for RV's.

    Thanks
  • Glad it worked out for you. Hope you enjoy Grand Bayou, we do. Enjoy the lights as well. It is an awesome thing!!!
  • Thank you all for the replies....Bayou Grand did look nice so I booked it. We have never been to the festival so we figured we'd check it out and camp at the same time...yes by the way Nakatosh CG was already booked solid but it worked out because Grand Bayou reminded me of Cypress Bend on Toledo Bend and we liked that...Thanks again
  • Not too far north of Natchitoches is a town called Coushatta. A very nice park there Grand Bayou Resort. If you don't mind a short drive to Natchitoches this could be the deal for you. Nakatosh CG is very close, very small, and probably booked up for the festival of lights. Good luck.
  • We went there about 5 years ago. After failing to find a CG on the PC, we left the 5er at home and used a local motel. We had a great weekend in a neat little town. This is the town that was used for the filming of Steel Magnolias.
  • It is ajacent to truck stop so may be noisy at night, I haven't stayed there but did go look at it
  • Nakatosh Campground is right off I49 and on the main drag into the city. The campground is nothing special but is well located and fairly priced. About the best they have.
