Near Milwaukee Wisconsin ?

I am looking for a family friendly full hook up campground near Milwaukee for the fourth of July weekend. I realize I may have a hard time finding anything available. Yogi is full, can anyone suggest anything else? Searching on line isn't giving many results. Thanks
  • It won't because there are NOT that many in that area. Been there done that. Searched till I was blue in the face. Yogi is the only big CG in Milwaukee.

There is a real nice family oriented CG off of highway 50 about 35 minutes out of Milwaukee. They carry Burlington addresses only as a rural mailing address.

Also check out the Lake Geneva area off of 50 also. 30 minutes out of Milwaukee. There are CG's at the state park too right on Lake Geneva.think its called big foot.

And then there is this 'little' CG 'nothing special' it does have a pool. BUT the bonus of it is it is across the street from the beach of Lake Geneva with all kinds of activities AND for the DW 5 minutes away from a huge long historical street of specialty and antique shops!!

    Good Luck. :C
  • Check out Country View in Muckwonago. Just a short drive outside Milwaukee. On I-43.

    They are booked, thanks
  • Have you checked Cliffside Park. They are popular on especially weekends and holidays, so may be full, but worth a check (Real Racine online or by phone). Located near the lake and south of Milwaukee, it is easy to get into city.

We drove through Coachman's Terrace recently. Looked like a rather rundown mobile home park with a few rv slots. Though we would have liked staying near Lake Geneva, we did not like ithat park at all and we drove on.
  • Cliffside Park is a nice park. I will bet it will be full.
  • Get your name on a cancellation list. There are usually last min. Cancellations,

Yes, good chance it is full. Good chance everything near Milwaukee will be full for early July with all the holiday campers and the Summerfest visitors.
  • Thanks for your help everyone. Wait lists are several pages long, we will do something different. I am surprised at the lack of full hook up sites around Milwaukee.
