Near San Bernardino, CA

Those are both nice. If you'd like a mountain camping area that is very close, head up to Big Bear Lake, it's only about a 50 min drive from San Bernardino. Don't know when you are planning on going but there is no snow on the ground and it's been in the 50s-60s every day. We have a cabin up there and it's been a very dry year, but that's good if you want to camp right now. Serrano campground is open all year, and is very nice.
