Need a base camp RV park for touristing in NYC

We are looking for a location outside of the NYC craziness where we can park, take the toad to a commuter station and then ride into the city to see things like the Colbert Show. Any suggestions or...

Keep your expectations in check when staying at Liberty Harbor. Basically its a parking lot, W/E with dumpstation, some amenities. As mentioned no need to drive, walking distance to PATH subway and NYC. We stayed off season to ecsape the heat. :C
