I lost my wife over 12 years ago to cancer. I would visit my daughter and grandchildren when I could. I prefer being around them as they have got older when we camp and have fun they keep me going I meet with a group of people my age all we talk about is politics, health, and who has died. Being around young people you get to share your knowledge and help them grow and maybe be a better person. To each their own but this is what I prefer. Nothing like being at the campground on the lake and hearing the laughter and see people take time to relax and enjoy each other and not be ***holes because they don't like kids.
I'm with you!! I appreciate and like a good mix of all ages when I go camping. Every once in awhile you'll get an obnoxious kid or adult next to you and even then they won't ruin my time. My kids make me old but keep me young all at the same time and hope to be around to enjoy their kids and their friends like my parents get to do.
