Need park recommendation for Moab, UT

We'll be coming through Moab in about 2 weeks for only one night (I know, only one night in Moab???), and looking for a park that has great access for a long travel trailer, and level sites. We'll most likely be setting up either at dusk or after dark, so would like to awaken to a nice Moab view if possible before we hit the road for another long day up and over the Rockies. Your suggestions are appreciated!

What do you mean by long?

64' total TV/TT length...35' OAL for the trailer + ProPride hitch which adds a good foot and a half, plus makes backing up a tad trickier than a regular hitch
  • Was at Spanish Trail last Fall - do not go there. PM or email me if you want details.

south is very much just a "valley", most of the good view areas are north.

  • Archview, is another, outside of town with a view of Arches NP and the region.
  • Well, all of Moab is beautiful, but the truely breathtaking views are not at the easy-access campgrounds

Deadhorse Point SP has room for RV's of any size, and 50 amp electric but it's a long drive from the main road. Wake up early, drive out to the nearby overlook and watch the sun come up, truly breathtaking.

Just North of town, right off the highway there are two campgrounds. They're commercial not government, never visited either one personally.

Heading East from the main highway is Utah route 128, a very scenic road with several government campgrounds right on the Colorado river. The Big Bend campground website states it has room for large RV's.

Route 128 takes you to the Interstate and on your way to the Rockies.
