Need suggestions for east coast campgrounds close to towns!

Starting to use our RV for more than tailgating! We are looking for any suggestions from Maryland to Florida that are close to town, restaurants, attractions. We can do walking distance or places that...

Just a suggestion but if you're going to do some serious traveling you NEED a toad. Much more convenient than taking shuttles when you have to be on their schedule, not yours.

Exceptions would be DC, NYC. There is no readily available parking.

IMHO DC and Pigeon Forge are east coast towns even though they aren't east coast beach towns.
