Need your suggestions - w/in a day's drive of NJ

We camp host at Point Lookout, MD and LOVE it. It is about 50 miles south of Annapolis and is located on a spit of land that that juts into the Chesapeake Bay from where the Potomac runs into it.

It is beautiful, lots of trails, water frontage, fishing pier, crabbing opportunities and there is a great nature center. Water on both sides of the park. It has lots of history linked to it with the Lighthouse and the Civil War POW camp that was located here.

There are several different campgrounds, you just have to choose the one that fits your type of camping.

There are several local restaurants that are really good.

The first places that came to my mind were the PA Amish districts with their great restaurants and Baltimore with their international cuisine districts; DC with the Smithsonian; Assateague and Chincoteague National Seashores; etc. South Jersey is a great jump off point for so many places in the northeast.

leave the MH behind and go to Bermuda for 4 to 7 days. skip all the tours. ride mopeds around the island. feel rejuvenated.
